Courtesy of Miss Red, 84Rules has a quote from American Socialist Norman Thomas that pretty much gives the game away (trouble is, not enough people are paying attention to the Democratic playbook).
To understand the curent times you only to read "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky. This is the tactical bible for modern progressives. It's all there from incrementalism to never letting a good crisis go to waste to masking your true intentions to all the various nuances of the end justifies the means philosphy.
