I may have mentioned this before, but the tendency for ultra-right head bashers to come out of the closet at times like this is a litmus test as to whether your government is stepping up to the plate to oppose certain forces, or just cruising. In Australia, the Howard government only countered the "reactionary" One Nation party by getting tough on illegal immigrants. Then won the 2001 and 2004 elections, despite a much closer to the line decision on Iraq.
