Moonshine

Legal white lightnin'. What'll they think of next? An interesting look back at Junior Johnson, who, as long-time readers of this blog will remember me mentioning, was arrested by my father, Old Paco, back when the latter was a revenooer (found over at Stacy McCain's place, courtesy of the estimable Smitty's Rule 5 compilation).

Legal white lightnin'. Oh noo!

My script for a remake of Thunder Road was just about finished. Oh well, I'm sure it will fit one of those soon to be unused toilets at Club Gitmo Sur Mer.

Back in the 60's, Texas (and probably most) liquor stores sold moonshine under a legal name: Everclear. Not that I would know except by rumor, of course.

Everclear! Boy, do I remember that stuff. At a party one night I took an enormous swig of grape-flavored Everclear, and the next thing I knew, the sun was coming up.

Thanks for the link!
Could you give me the link to your post(s) where you talk about the arrest?
