There are 86 members of the Arizona National Guard presently training at Fort Hood for a one year deployment to Afghanistan. All are safe.

Richard: Even if the guy was a sleeper terrorist, the murders were senseless because the fanatical religion that may have prompted the deed is senseless (which is, of course, not the same thing as purposeless or lacking in motive).
Maybe just plain old "evil" is a better word.
I used to send care packages to a platoon in Afghanistan made up of Army soldiers from Ft. Hood. I have to wonder if any of them were in that facility when this bastard went on his jihad, and I have no way of finding out.
