Al Gore Now Shooting for Nobel Prize in Literature

From Dan Riehl comes the disturbing news that Al Gore has written a poem on climate change.

Click, read, puke. I don't do poetry, myself, but if you'd like to counter this effort, please feel free to let yourself go in the comments.

1.
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
The planet's in danger!
And so are you.

2.
George Bush lied,
The planet fried,
Then Brother Gore,
He testified:

'Goodness gracious
Holy Gaia!
Be a believer,
Not a denier!'

George Bush lied,
The whales cried:
Then Brother Gore,
He testified:

'Carbon sinner!
Confess! Confess!
Now pay up with your
ETS.'

Hey diddle diddle
The cat and the fiddle
The cow jumped over the moon:
The little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

Hey diddle diddle
Al Gore started twiddling
And wrote down some horrible verse:
The little dog howled and the little cat yowled
And the cow, it started to curse.

This Robby Burns verse form is a little tricksy. I don't like the last stanza but I think the rest came out okay.

Climate emails leakin', leakin',
Dodgy graphs have got a tweakin',
MSM is really freakin'
At this situation.
People everywhere start seekin'
An investigation.

Believer is at war with skeptic,
Monbiot is apoplectic
His fits verge on the epileptic -
What a scandal!
This global warming email epic's
Too hot to handle.

Believers start to fume and fret,
They say some things that they regret,
They twitch and twiddle, shiver, sweat -
How disobedient!
But we can turn to rhymin' yet
When Truth gets Inconvenient.

A 21st Century Psalm

December 7th has come and past
We must act, before Copenhagen is passed
If that Treaty is law I guarantee
Another occurrence of infamy
As they strip away democracy

We wish to debate the natural state
It was warm for awhile, but cold as of late
The scientist tried to hide the decline
Deny debate through deceit and design
The science was settled and the data deleted
All opposition was effectively defeated
From checking the facts, and results repeated
Who could prove the science was cheated
Man Made Global Warming is a lie
The CRU e-mails and codes do testify
The purpose, a Carbon Debt to apply
Kiss your money, technology and freedom goodbye

The silence is deafening across the land
As the revelations the public now understands
The weathers a carrot meant to disguise
A corrupt agenda before our eyes
And now we see light shining in Truth
Politicians, media, and search engines declare moot
You can glimpse the extent of the hypocrisy
In how they declare there is nothing to see
So much for transparency

Climategate Googlegate Copenhagengate
Who gave you permission to decide our fate?
Censoring discussion denying debate
The Spirit of Truth you desecrate
In all debate Truth intervenes
Asks does the end justify the means?
Demands that honesty remains supreme
That commitments aren’t made on fraudulent schemes.

It’s time for the passive acceptance to end
It’s time to stand for freedom as free men
It’s time to expose the lies and deceit
It’s time to take it to the streets
Do not commit sedition do not get jailed
Non-Violent revolutions do not fail
The voice of the Prophets, Gandhi and King
Are calling for you to get marching

Or just sit back and take the vaccine.

This seems as good a place as any to just say Hi from your old friend Bruce, formerly of Aus but now in the Tamil heartland Madurai city, having been the last couple months doing Zen with Jesuits and trying to teach the local Tamil kids some Aussie english, wonderful bunch of young people who are very smart and will hopefully get the breaks they deserve in future if the idiots in charge don't wreck the world's economy.

Al Gore's writing poetry. 'Nuff said there.

Hey they have great cable in the cheap hotels here when the powers not out, watch a lot of HOB. The Patriot is a great movie.

Keep up the good fight Paco and co!

Fever settles on an acid sea

WTF is he on about? Some kind of Freudian slip? Is he trying to tell us he was on acid himself when he wrote that garbage?

Yikes. This is the worst "poem" I've ever read, period.
And there's only one
Fever. No doubt Snake-oil Gore will do a karaoke version of it soon in a quest for a Grammy.

This creep makes me sick. Sorry. /rant.

Brilliant, TimT! Keep 'em coming, please. The last stanza of the first post brought visions of Gore in long black robes as Grand Inquisitor of old. This reminded me of the recent epiphany in the UK where they ruled that the environmental movement is really a religion.

One thin September soon
A floating continent disappears
Under Al Gore's ginormous butt
One endangered Chilean Sea Bass too bloated

Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
Because of Al Gore's gargantuan, toxic butt

Snow glides from the mountain
Ice fathers floods for a season
A hard rain comes quickly
All because of Al Gore's butt

Then dirt is parched
Kindling is placed in the forest
For the lightning’s celebration
Because Al Gore finally put his pants back on

The shepherd cries
The hour of choosing has arrived
Here are your tools
And do not mention Al Gore's butt ever again

REMINDS ME OF GORE

To clean the floor
after a party or more
is to pile the rubbish
that reminds me of Gore

There's hubris, pretention,
innuendo and fear,
false claims, slander, lies
and forced tears,
when all piled together so neat on the floor,
they come to remind me
of the jaw that is Gore.

His winking and smiling, his all knowing leer,
his manicured image, so snake oil sincere,
supported by journalists with soft glassy jaws,
all serve to remind me of the bore they call Gore.

See his jet trails, his movies, his outdated 'facts',
note his absence on Fox, which he avoids like a rat,
while his minders prepare an image not flawed,
we know the truth, so easy to store,
that the hypocrite Gore is a slut to the core.
