Happy Lenin's Birthday Earth Day!

Environmental wackos of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your bacon sandwiches!

And don't forget, comrades: you are strictly enjoined to stay awake.

Earth Day.

Y'know a great age of exploration, begun either by Columbus or Marco Polo, came to an end when we landed on the Moon. Back then I was sure we'd all be Star-trekkin in spaceships by now, more of that exploration. Instead we seem to have reached a limit. Confined to Earth. Which shrinks a bit as each new advance makes it easier to view and access.

Claustrophobia anyone?

Earth Day bleh... I'm booking passage on Firefly's Serenity.

btw, I know Graham Lister the guy who wrote 'Star-trekkin' 'Klingons on the starboard bow' etc. From my home town (Five Dock! Like Boab)Used to watch Monty Python and Star Trek at his house, and raid his records.

Bit of a long story.

These people need to be stopped. They certainly don't have the capacity to stop themselves.

As someone who is sodium challenged, I wouldn't be adverse to more selections in the low sodium catagory. Once folks really taste food rather than the salt, a whole new world opens up. HOWEVER, sodium should never be legislated. This isn't the job of the government.

Obama, Michelle and the rest of the wackos can try to take my bacon. But they better know that I'm armed. It will be from my cold dead hands. There won't be any evidence though, except the smile on my face.

I understand, Deborah Leigh. I also have to watch my salt intake, but I figure that's my responsibility, not some pencil-pusher in Washington. I avoid most low-sodium processed offerings, though, because when they reduce the salt, they load up on potassium and/or sugar. Basically for me it means carefully rationing salt-and-fat heavy foods. Moderation in all things... including moderation.

Completely agree with you RebeccaH. It's our responsibility. Isn't it funny that Liberals always talk about "choice", but are the ones to take it away.
