Since when is graffiti is "priceless art"?

No matter -- I vote "public service".

If an everyday workin' joe can't tell the difference between 'art' and 'crap' -- maybe it's not really art at all.

Anti-capitalist graffiti artist gets $500,000? What part of 'capitalist' doesn't this bozo comprehend?

You've quite made my day. Inevitably a certain amount of ennui sets in on a Monday morning as I contemplate another week of incompetent staff and unappreciative superiors. To find that the Pointless Art Cleaning Organisation has been doing its usual fine work has put me in the best mood I've been in since that wonderful day several years ago when half of Tracy Emin's collection went up in flames. Also one of yours?

cac: As a patron of clean streets, the story made my day, too.

I quite like Hosier Lane and graffiti in general but can't help but laugh at that story.

That's the trouble when something that's (supposedly) so fundamentally lawless as graffiti joins hands with councils and government...
