Democratic message for the mid-term elections: “Hey, Republicans, your mothers swim out to meet troop ships!”

Fred Barnes underscores the desperation of Democrats facing electoral apocalypse this fall. They can’t win on the issues, so they’re resorting to personal attacks.

This is pretty much like whistling through a graveyard that is populated by real vampires. With the highest unemployment rate in decades, a sky-rocketing deficit, an unpopular health care bill, and the kind of Democratic Party corruption that probably would have embarrassed even Boss Tweed, voters are focused on genuine bread-and-butter issues – and although the donks are still providing the circus, they’ve proven themselves hopelessly incompetent at turning out the bread.

Besides, the taxpayers are beginning to take offense at being drafted to play the clowns in the center-ring; therefore, it’s quite possible that the Democratic Party will go out with neither a bang nor a whimper – just a last shrieking high note on an expiring calliope.

And none too soon.

I just came back from a meeting of the local Tea Party. We're organizing for the local fair (coming up soon), and for the November elections.

There were 160 people there, not counting the children, an amazing number in this town. Especially at 7 PM on a weeknight.

And everyone of 'em an angry taxpaying, voting citizen.

Yeah, Demoncrats, you'd better watch out.

They are selling more of the Bush Miss Me Now shirts than the Vacation With Obama shirts on Martha's Vineyard. Considering that the bulk of the tourists are probably east coasters......

We'll know a lot more after the Beck 8/28 rally. If it is as big as they think it is going to be you will probably see more panic on the part of the Democrats. That event could have the force of a tsunami.

Using personal attacks isn't a resort for the Dems. It is SOP straight out of the Alinsky playbook.

Yojimbo, if the number of buses from all over the country that are going to 8/28 is any indication of the size, then hugh doesn't even cover it. More like "ginormous". That's why the usual thugs have promised to be out there. Custer has no meaning to them. I'm betting there is a counter 8/28 war room somewhere on the Hill. Paco, you hear anything?

Wonder if the Park Service have ran out of Andy Gumps? If the buses are coming from far....

Sadly, FOX won't be covering the entire event like they had said. Hopefully, Beck will get live feed for the net.Get your popcorn!
