When people tell me that Obamacare is a good thing, I point out that the main "fix" is slathering more bureaucracy on top of an already broken system.

Their general response is a blank stare followed by a mumble that "Healthcare needs fixing." Some get it, some don't.

This is what happened in the UK under Blaire and the Laborites. It wasn't the size and over-arching role of government that was the probnlem, merely efficiency. Sooo.....

... the government hired more managers and created tick lists and measurements for everything - to the point that government was spending all its effort filling in charts and tables and not doing their job.
