Sunday funnies

One thing that has gotten better under Obama.

Mercedes-Benz, embarrassed by the response to its use of an image of Che Guevara in an advertisement, tries again.

A link at Grandpa John's site leads to this headline:

Mercedes' apology for use of Che Guevara photo to promote luxury cars does little to quiet outcry.

I read that "apology" and was hugely underwhelmed. It boiled down to "I'm sorry that you're offended", not "I'm sorry, I didn't to offend you."

The ignorance behind that advertising campaign is appalling.

Well that does it. I will never ever buy a merc in my lifetime.
I have always been partial to jags anyway.
Not that I could afford either.

Hey, maybe all those idiots who thought the "peace" sign and the Mercedes logo were the same thing were right all along.

Speaking of Sunday funnies.

Huntsman has dropped out of the race. (via Instapundit)

The NYT states that he struggled to live up to the "soaring expectaions" of his campaign.
What soaring expectations were those? Did I sleep through something again?

YoJ: Maybe expectations can soar downwards?

Huntsman's campaign had all the soaring potential of a concrete block. [Well, those who like their 'Republicans' to be way more like Democrats liked him,and they are pretty much blockheads, so maybe that explains it.]
