National treasure

I wish he were running for president, but Rep. Paul Ryan is a tremendous asset to the cause of fiscal sanity wherever he serves.

Best congressman in the last 500 years!

Maybe in 2016 or 2020. There are a lot of rising stars these days. Of course, even what's on offer today look like rising stars compared to the incumbent.

Ryan was quoted as saying, a few weeks ago, that he would accept the VP slot or entertain entreaties at a brokered convention. Ryan would be an excellent VP candidate to bring more cnservatives to the Romney camp. We can't have people staying home this November, that's for darn sure.

I always found it interesting that Paul Ryan is from the same little town and high school as ultra-liberal (former) Senator Russ Feingold. (We made Russ move out of town and kept Ryan.)
