Sunday funnies

Looking for love on the internet: you're doin' it wrong.

Really, the absolutely perfect Valentine's Day gift.

Quite possibly the best excuse ever given to a cop by an underage driver (H/T: The PJ Tatler).

The zany world of misheard lyrics.

Democrat constituencies.

Today's Chuck Norris fact: When Chuck Norris is in Rome, the Romans do as Chuck Norris does.

My favorite misheard (a.k.a. "sing along wrong") lyrics is the CCR "There's a bathroom on the right."

Being about 13 when the Stones released Paint It Black, and hearing it mainly on a little transistor radio, I heard the lyric as I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darthuss goes...

A "darthuss", of course, being a mysterious part of the human neck which "goes" if you strain your neck looking at girls in skimpy clothing. Which, having just discovered the joys of, seemed a logical thing.

You know how dating videos normally go?

That one goes in a totally different direction.

I will give him props for "Height is in the eye of the beholder".

He should have stopped there.

I always though "Eminence Front" was "It's aluminum punk, it's a put on..."

Isophorone: That's exactly what I misheard when I first heard that song!

R-man: You don't want to be puttin' a strain on your darthuss.

Well, Paco, when you're a teenager you're invincible, and some things are worth the risk.

These days, my darthuss comes first. And the girls my age in skimpy clothing....

My earliest misheard lyric was from For He's A Jolly Good Fellow, and it was "We'll open the candy knife".

As for the Democratic constituencies, I'm pretty sure the pollsters must have only questioned their 2200 people in someplace like the southside of Chicago. What made me really suspicious of that poll was this:

One in three respondents said science should get more funding from the government.
